On an unremarkable day in September of 2012, after fifteen months of waiting, the sale of our house finally closed in Edmonton. On a day in September of 2012 made remarkable by only being 24 hours later, we had a conditional offer accepted on a new house in Ontario.

The house was initially build around 1850, and has had several updates, renovations and additions since that time. Once we get our hands on it, it will have several more.

This is the story of a house, a family and a new life in a new place.
